EU Youth Strategy
The EU Youth Strategy is the framework for the EU youth policy cooperation for 2019-2027, based on the Council Resolution of 26 November 2018. EU youth cooperation shall make the most of youth policy’s potential. It fosters youth participation in civic life, supports social and civic engagement and aims to ensure that all young people have the necessary resources to take part in society. The EU Youth Strategy is coordinated by the European Commission DG on Youth. Some of the instruments of the EU Youth Strategy are Future National Activities Planners, EU Youth Dialogue, EU Youth Strategy Platform, Evidence-base tools.

What is Youth Wiki?
Youth Wiki is an EU online platform that promotes a better knowledge and understanding of national youth policies implemented in European countries. It provides information on the decisions, actions and operation of national structures and the political debates concerning and affecting young people’s lives concerning the following 10 policy fields:

What is the aim of Youth Wiki?
Youth Wiki informs European citizens about the youth policies and practices of each Member State. Its overall purpose is to help the EU and Member States in the decision-making process in order to be able to take informed decisions that effectively respond to the challenges young people face and to contribute to the further development of European youth cooperation through the exchange of good practices.
Who is Youth Wiki aimed at?
Youth Wiki is a valuable tool for youth workers, policy makers, representatives of youth organisations, academia, students, researchers and civil society in general.
What is the role of the Youth Board of Cyprus?
The Network is coordinated at European level by the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA). Having the role of the national correspondent and as the coordinator of the National Youth Strategy, the Youth Board of Cyprus undertakes the collection and provision of the necessary information on the youth policies pursued in Cyprus in the 10 policy fields referred to above.
Comparative Overviews
Youth Wiki provides interactive maps of the European countries on the following topics. Maps contain valuable information on the main policies and programmes that countries develop in the youth field. The information is provided and annually updated by National Correspondents (NCs), designated by the governments of each participating country. In addition to national youth policy data, the platform provides short comparative reviews on the main trends across participating countries.

Working Groups
The Youth Board of Cyprus participates in the meetings of the Youth Working Party, that take place in Brussels in the framework of each Presidency of the EU Council.
The Youth Working Party discusses and prepares items for discussion by the EU ministers for youth.
Its work includes youth issues such as:
- participation and active citizenship
- solidarity and social inclusion of young people
- recognition of the value of informal and non-formal learning
- youth work
- opportunities for young people in education and training and in the labour market
The working party also deals with youth issues related to other sectors such as education, employment, health and well-being and sport.

11 Youth Goals
During the 6th cycle of the EU Youth Dialogue ‘Youth in Europe: What’s next?’ and through a Europe-wide consultation, decision-making bodies, young people and researchers collected a number of youth related issues and grouped them into 11 topics areas. As a result of this participatory process, joined by young people from all around Europe, 11 European Youth Goals were developed.
These 11 goals reflect the views of the European youth and represent the vision of those active in the EU Youth Dialogue. They show the willingness of young people to lead the European cooperation in the field of youth.

Foster the sense of youth belonging to the European project and build a bridge between the EU and young people to regain trust and increase participation.
#2 EQUALITY OF ALL GENDERS
Ensure equality of all genders and gendersensitive approaches in all areas of life of a young person.
#3 INCLUSIVE SOCIETIES
Enable and ensure the inclusion of all young people in society.
#4 INFORMATION AND CONSTRUCTIVE DIALOGUE
Ensure young people have better access to reliable information, support their ability to evaluate information critically and engage in participatory and constructive dialogue.
#5 MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLBEING
Achieve better mental wellbeing and end stigmatisation of mental health issues, thus promoting social inclusion of all young people.
#6 MOVING RURAL YOUTH FORWARD
Create conditions which enable young people to fulfill their potential in rural areas.
#7 QUALITY EMPLOYMENT FOR ALL
Guarantee an accessible labour market with opportunities that lead to quality jobs for all young people.
#8 QUALITY LEARNING
Integrate and improve different forms of learning, equipping young people for the challenges of an ever-changing life in the 21st century.

Strengthen young people’s democratic participation and autonomy as well as provide dedicated youth spaces in all areas of society.

Achieve a society in which all young people are environmentally active, educated and able to make a difference in their everyday lives.
#11 YOUTH ORGANISATIONS AND EUROPEAN PROGRAMMES
Ensure equal access for all young people to youth organisations and European youth programmes, building a society based on European values and identity.
