Advisory Bodies

Pursuant to the Youth Board Law of 1994 Ν. 33(I)/1994, the YBC has the following Advisory Bodies, which ensure the participation of young people in the decision-making process:

The Political Committee which consists of the President of the Board of Directors, who chairs the Committee, and the representatives of every youth organisation of the political parties which are represented in the Parliament, nominated by their organisation.
The Trade Union Body which brings together labour, rural and scientific youth organisations, as well as national student federations. The Trade Union Body consists of the President of the Board of Directors, who chairs the Trade Union Body, the Trade Union Committee and the Student Committee.
The Trade Union Committee which consists of the President of the Board of Directors and two representatives of each youth department of national trade unions and rural organisations.
The Students Committee which consists of the President of the Board of Directors and two representatives of each national student federation.
The General Advisory Body which consists of the President of the Board of Directors and two representatives of every youth organisation that is a member of the GAB. There are currently more than 40 GAB member-organisations.

The responsibilities of the Advisory Body are:

to express views and make suggestions on the general principles of youth policy

to participate in the various programs and in the various events and activities of the YBC.
