Cross-Sectoral Group
During the drafting of the Strategy, a cross-sectoral group was formed, consisting of representatives from all Ministries and other government bodies dealing with youth. This group contributed to the mapping of the current situation and conducted meetings to make proposals for the objectives of each policy field of the National Youth Strategy.
This Group has a key role during the implementation of the Strategy, as the members of the Cross-Sectoral Group are responsible for promoting the following actions:
It is noted that an external qualitative evaluation may also be conducted, for instance by the Council of Europe.
NYS Monitoring Committee
For a more effective coordination between the members of the Cross-Sectoral Group and young people, the YBC will convene the Advisory Monitoring Committee regularly, which will serve as a meeting point for the various government bodies and young people that will allow them to engage in dialogue. The Committee consists of the Cross-Sectoral Working Group for the Youth (which consists of all government agencies related to youth issues), and the Cyprus Youth Council. Other relevant bodies may also participate in the Committee upon an invitation of the YBC, which is the coordinator of the Committee.
