Strategic Framework of Youth Board

The Administrative Board of the Youth Board (YBC) has defined the following Strategic Priorities for the period 2020 – 2022:

  • Improving YBC policy intervention
  • Improving the involvement and participation of youth
  • Expansion and strengthening of the Youth Ecosystem
  • Holistic Empowerment / Youth Autonomy
  • Internationalization and development of collaborations
  • Improving the efficiency and effectiveness of ONEK processes / tasks

The above strategic goals define the strategic framework within which the programs and services of YBC will be implemented, in order to implement the vision and the mission of YBC until 2022.

Taking into account the priorities of the EU, the Council of Europe, the 11 Youth Goals, as well as the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic on youth, the following thematic priorities for 2021 have also been decided by the Board:

  • Participation – Youth Goal # 9
  • Inclusion – Youth Goal # 3
  • Employment – Youth Goal # 7
  • Mental health and well-being – Youth goal # 5

In addition, the following have been identified as horizontal thematic priorities:

  • Green and sustainable development – Youth Goal # 10
  • Digital Transformation
  • Youth Work

These priorities will guide more specifically the programs and services of YBC within 2021, contributing thus to the achievement of the YBC goals and consequently the state and society in general.
